Jazz, Blues and Honky Tonk Brews

While primarily a tour for music lovers, this 22 night, 23 day tour is also a must for those with an interest in the history and lifestyle of the American south.

Explore both the blues and general Texas history in Houston, with tours of The Houston Blues Museum, shopping in old town Galveston, the Johnsonville Space Center and the San Jacinto battle monument. At night dine in genuine blues music bars.

New Orleans is jazz city, but there is more to this southern city that just the music. Visit the Battle of New Orleans monument, shop in the French Quarters' Jackson Square, take a ride on the oldest running streetcar line in the world, spend a morning on a swamp boat tour and visit a real restored slave plantation. In the evenings enjoy live jazz and a ghost and voodoo tour of this city of the occult.

Spend several days driving up the Mississippi Delta visiting the historic blues towns, visiting museums and dining at genuine 1920's Juke Joints on southern cajun style delicacies.

Visit Elvis Presley's birthplace in Tupelo together with the Tupelo National Battlefield where the Battle of Harrisburg was fought in the American Civil War.

In Memphis visit Graceland, the home and burial place of Elvis, while learning about the history of rock'n'roll at Sun Records where he recorded his first music. Discover why Memphis is also known as Soul City, home of Stax Records. Watch the Peabody Hotel ducks on their twice daily walk and eat lunch in a restaurant with a model railway circulating overhead before shopping in a town that can still double as Mayberry out of the Andy Griffiths Show.

Travel to Nashville via Nutbush City Limits and the Coal Miner's Daughters' cabin. Immerse yourself in country music in Nashville, with visits to the Country Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry and many other Nashville staples. At night dine and hear the music in the Broadway Honky Tonks while shopping for "two free pair" of cowboy boots.

Then travel with us to the Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, home of Dollywood. Not only will you get to spend a day at Dolly's theme park but will dine at Dolly's Stampede show, tour a replica of the Titanic and see the Legends of Motown.

We will then drive to Chattanooga for coffee at the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo station, take a river cruise and a night time Ghost walk fo the town before returning to Nashville and flying back to Houston and then home again
